Can You Renovate an Old Website, or Should You Rebuild It?

The origins of the Internet date back to the 1960s, while its debut in Poland is considered to be the year 1990. Internet availability in our country dates to 1991, when the Polish .pl domain was registered. Since then, the Internet has developed at a rapid pace, and today almost nobody can probably imagine functioning without it.

We all use the Internet for a wide variety of purposes. We’re internet users, and often also owners of websites or online stores that serve informational and/or business goals.

The early days of websites produced designs that were very simple and not very attractive. With the development of scripting languages and the needs of users and website owners, progress kept moving forward without stopping.

Today, we have many solutions that just need to be tailored to our needs. So is it worth renovating an old website, or would it be better to build it from scratch?

Such work depends on many factors that need to be considered. First of all, how old the current version of the website is. Trends change very quickly, but if the site can be updated without interfering too much with the code, then of course those changes can be considered. But from experience, we know that when we start working on one element, more areas worth changing will appear.

Building a site from scratch is sometimes a lower cost and takes less time than large modifications we want to make on existing websites. Of course, there are exceptions to this rule, but every website needs to be considered individually, depending on the goals we want to achieve.
